Birthday Weekend Part One - Disneyland

Saturday the 25th was my 27th birthday and all I wanted was to go to Disneyland. Little did I know that the entire weekend I would be showered with love and surprises.

Saturday started about 8 am with us getting to the park just about 9:30. The day ended with us leaving the park at 11:45 pm. My first surprise of the weekend was the lovely newlyweds Quan and Suzanne surprising me at the park. They live in San Diego and were very sneaky.

Keith, Annie (visiting for my b-day from Monterey), Marilyn, Vince, Sara, Quan and Suzanne

The incredibly talented hat maker Sara made us very special and very smart custom Mickey Mouse ears. We had all the Disney freaks jealous of our super cool hats. The gift was so generous.

We ate all day.
Cotton candy, churros, pickles, burgers, hot wings, jelly beans and loads of Red Bull for me. We had drinks in Downtown Disney around dinner time, so once we were done drinking we ready for the Tea Cups and by far the best fireworks show I will ever experience.

Right when the fireworks show started we made a mad dash to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and once we were seated the finale began. Each twist, turn and dip we were drenched with monstrous colorful fireworks. We screamed as loud as we could and my heart exploded.

To be continued....
