Birthday Weekend Part Two - Surprise Pirate Ship Fun

I was told to be at Lissa's at 2 pm for a surprise. Annie and I raced over after breakfast at Swingers with nerves gone wild. I am not used to getting surprises and I was a little nervous. The first 3 surprises were Mrs. Trouble (who said she couldn't make it for the dinner party that night) Jacquie and Cindy my mom in law.

The next HUGE surprise, all masterfully planned by Lissa, was my very own paddle boat in the Echo Park Paddle Boat Regalia. My friends and family kindly donated money to 826LA a literacy program. There was even a sponsor me ad on the website.

Mrs. Trouble provided the pirate theme and all the needed accessories. We had parrots, eye patches, hats, swords, a plank and giant pirate flag. Lissa made amazing shirts for TEAM TRIFLE so we truly looked fetching. Not to mention we had PIRATUDE.

We had to get everything together and I was so overwhelmed with love I really couldn't wrap my mind around the whole thing. I took a deep breath and started getting ready. We got to the park and more surprise guests were there to cheer us on. The Hive had their boat as well so we dominated the crowd and really had the spirit for the cause.

The Beez Kneez had amazing bee caps and sparkly wings. One good looking team!

I will never forget the effort, love and creativity that went into such an amazing surprise.

But that's not all...
