LOS ANGELES (AP) — The two American journalists who were once imprisoned in North Korea have arrived in Burbank, California.

Euna Lee and Laura Ling walked off the plane to an emotional reunion with their family members. A crying Lee hugged her 4-year-old daughter and husband as Ling shared an embrace with her husband, parents and sister Lisa Ling.

Laura Ling said during a press conference they were told 30 hours earlier that she and Lee were going to a meeting. Behind the closed doors they entered for the meeting stood former president Bill Clinton. At that point Ling said she and Lee knew "the nightmare of our lives was finally coming to an end."
