MY BEAUTY MUST HAVES
My bathroom cupboards are fully stocked with potions and lotions! Here are some of my beautifying discoveries...
Davines Love shampoo makes me feel that "just stepped out of a salon" feeling when ever I use it. It smells great and leaves my hair soft and frizz free. Davines products are available at The Hive.
Chapped lips are a common curse. I've tried many different lip balms and have settled with this Rosebud lip balm. It's inexpensive and does the trick. Similar to Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour cream, you can use this rose lip salve to soothe other dry skin spots too.
I apply Posietint to stain my cheeks and lips for a subtle but rosey daytime glow. I generally use two applications for it to show up on my skin colour. I wear tinted moisturiser during the day rather than foundation and I apply Posietint after moisturising.
Black winged eyeliner is an everyday essential make-up look for me. I've tried a variety of products and brush types. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner is long lasting and water resistant and is applied using a felt tip style brush. I wore this eyeliner at my wedding reception and it stayed true to the water resistant claims and didn't drip black tears down my face when I booed through our vows!
If you're prone to greasy eyelids causing your eye shadow to slide off during the day, then you need to invest in some Two Faced Shadow Insurance. This little tube last AGES, since you only need to apply a teeny bit to each eyelid before you apply your eyeshadow. It's a life saver and the best eye make-up primer I've ever come across.
If you've ever shook someone's hand and then they consequently assume that you are a hardworking dishwasher; well then you need to get you some Neutrogena hand cream. This Norwegian formula softens hands in an instant. A tiny bit goes a long way. Don't let the greasy texture fool you, once you rub it in it last for ages and protects your hands.
I love getting my nails did, but less face it there isn't always enough time or pocket money to fuel the upkeep of your talons. I like Sally Hansen's Insta Dry line because like the name says it dries quick! My hectic work schedule means that I am often in a rush to paint my nails. Or I need them to dry quickly before the puppy starts shoving his sniffer onto them! This nail polish does the job! They offer a cute array of colours and also have a insta dry top coat too. Yay!
