I have learned through the years that you cannot buy the cheap store brand pickles, they aren't very good and nothing close to fresh.
For Christmas, Lissa jarred her own pickles and gave them as gifts. Each jar had it's opening date so the pickles could hang out long enough for amazing flavor. These were the best pickles I have EVER had. Perfect balance of freshness and vinegar. They were garlicky and crunchy.
